A flock of 45 Black Ducks foraging in a shallow "lagoon" (or ditch) at surf's edge today, included three very spiffy No. Pintails, 2 drakes and a hen. This was near the mouth of Sprague River. This is probably part of the large flock of Black Ducks building at high tide at the head of The Branch (Head Beach). The present obs was at very low tide.
Also present: a bunch of 61 Sanderlings.
No Snowy Owls on any of the islands.
