At our feeders this morning, we were delighted to find, amidst our
regular flock of siskins, a male white-winged crossbill. We had a pair
of red crossbills that spent the winter with us about ten years ago, but
this was the first white-winged for our yard list. Especially nice to
see it next to a red-bellied wp. Bill Grabin, Kennebunk
