The Canvasback previously reported in the Cousin’s was not present 2 hours ago (not much water left in the river at lowish tide). Besides, the western area is a “%^&^$” to bird from I-295.
The Canvasback drake in the Royal is still present. Had checked there earlier without luck. Thanks to Bob for spotting.

Subject: [Maine-birds] CnavasbackS - Portland/Falmouth and Royal River, Yarmouth, 1/18
Hi all,
Bob Crowley just called to report a/the drake CANVASBACK in the ROYAL River in Yarmouth, at Yarmouth Harbor, as viewed from the Lower Falls Landing.
About 20 minutes earlier, I had a drake CANVASBACK in the Presumpscot River on the Portland/Falmouth border, while traveling north on I-295. However, this bird would be easily visible from the lower bridge of Route 9, just to the west of 295. Apparently, today is the day for drive-bay Cans.
