[Maine-birds] Andro. Co. SNOW, NO--aka "Little Dipper Tour"

Hello All,

A check of likely areas of Androscoggin County today over five hours failed to record a Snowy Owl,  areas checked were Auburn Airport, Upper, Lower, Fish and Elementary school roads of Turner; Church Road, North Road and 106 North to E Livermore border and 106 South all in Leeds, around LIttle Alaska farm in Wayne, fields west of Sabattus Pond, Littlefield and Crowley roads in Sabattus.  River Road, Davis Road, Bowie Hill Road in Durham and 136 and Penley Road up to the  recycling/composting area in Auburn and probably some that I am too dazed to remember.

Highlights were at Lake Auburn where 150+ mixed Scaup lingering off Lakeshore Road along with growing number (60+) Common Goldeneye, and a few Bufflehead, Hooded Mergansers, Common Loon (one gulping down a good-sized yellow perch).  No Ruddies or the lingering Black Scoter were seen.  Best bird a female Red-breasted Merganser.

No Snow Buntings, Horned Larks or Longspurs either in any of these areas.
