In response to a few requests, I’ve put some photos online from my boreal bird scouting trip yesterday. I put the Black-backed Woodpecker at the top at http://mainebirdingtrail.com/BorealTour.htm because if it is possible for a Black-backed Woodpecker’s face to show “suspicion ” about an intruder, this would be it. Plus, I finally got a half-decent American Three-toed Woodpecker shot, and the Spruce Grouse were just lots of fun yesterday.
