[Maine-birds] Eared Grebe, Brunswick, continued through Sunday 9/23

I haven't heard about today, Monday, but Jan Pierson reported seeing the EARED GREBE off Simpsons Point, Brunswick during the afternoon high tide on Sunday. Directions as previously relayed by Derek. Basically one scans the bay from the boat ramp. The grebe has been seen reliably in the waters just east of south (looking down Middle Bay) and a bit towards Harpswell neck. On Saturday, I saw at least 9 Red-necked Grebes, a single Horned Grebe (it or others have been there for over a week), and a breeding plumage Red-throated Loon. My meagre photos of the distant Eared Grebe (but close-up sketches!) and the other birds can been seen on my eBird checklist here:
