There’s a male Ruddy Duck in front of my house (yard bird 131, loosely counting). I’m surprised that this is the first I’ve seen on Pushaw Lake. It’s a warm, shallow lake not too dissimilar to Sebasticook and Sabbattus. I’ve seen them on nearby ponds. I would have expected to see many over the years.
