Cross-posting this to the Maine list. Looks like this was the key reason why I and a number of other birders didn't see the Pelican in Wells on the 11th. :-)
But to channel my inner Bill Belichick - it's on to Rye (to try for the Pelican...)

Apparently the American White Pelican in Wells, ME has made it down to
NH. Scott Turnbull photographed the bird near the north boat ramp at
Odiorne today and posted it to the NH Birding Facebook page.
