[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights and Summer Tanager Update, 12/8 - 14

Hi all,

My observations of note over the past seven days included the following:

- 1 continuing SUMMER TANAGER (see below) and 1 Evening Grosbeak, Porter's Landing, Freeport, 12/8 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).

- 1 Common Grackle, feeders here at the store, 12/8-9.

- 2 Northern Flickers, 1 Northern Harrier, 2 Razorbills, etc, Bailey Island, Harpswell, 12/10 (with Jeannette).

- 1 Green-winged Teal, Webhannet Marsh, Wells, 12/11 (with Jeannette).

- 1 Evening Grosbeak, our yard in Pownal, 12/14.

SUMMER TANAGER Update.

- The immature male Summer Tanager continues in the Porter's Landing area of Freeport this week, as do a smattering of Evening Grosbeaks. Mean while, on 12/12, Dan Nickerson spotted 4 PINE GROSBEAKS in the neighborhood as well.
