Adding to the earlier (3:12PM) post when the Great Black Hawk finally returned to the park (after not being seen since the early morning): I received a text from Donna Schulman at 4:02PM that the hawk finished a squirrel it had been eating, flew south across the street near a yellow house, then either into an evergreen or a little further beyond where she could see. Sounds like it is heading to roost for the evening!
And I hope everyone realized the statement in my earlier message was a typo (*It not I). I haven't had to resort to eating squirrels yet but appreciated all the responses this morning.
Good birding,

I had been feeding on a squirrel so it's likely to return to that partial meal back in the SW corner of the park.
