[Maine-birds] Red-tailed Hawk

July 8, 2020 - Number 10 Road, Dexter
I have been watching a hawk nest for some time. There are 2 juveniles and, since I'm not good at hawk ID, I had narrowed it down to either Broad-winged Hawk or Red-tailed Hawk. I have seen both adults in the area. Today the young ones were flying around the trees near the nest and calling. I checked it out when I got home. They are Red-tailed Hawks. Mystery solved!
