[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 7/18-24



Hi all,

My observations of note over the past seven days included the following:

- 1 Solitary Sandpiper (first of fall), Highland Road, Brunswick, 7/20.

- 24 total Short-billed Dowitchers (FOF), Scarborough Marsh, 7/21.

- 58+ total Semipalmated Sandpipers (FOF), Scarborough Marsh, 7/21.

- 1 continuing adult LITTLE EGRET, Pelreco marsh, Scarborough Marsh, 7/21.

- 1 continuing HYBRID TRICOLORED HERON X SOME COMBINATION OF SMALL WHITE EGRET(S), Pelreco Marsh, 7/21.

- 1 continuing adult WHITE-FACED IBIS, Eastern Road Trail, Scarborough Marsh, 7/21.

- 1 Glossy Ibis, Morgan Meadow WMA, 7/24. Not surprisingly my first here.
