[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week: 10/10-10/16

Hi all,
A busy week of birding resulted in some additional highlights beyond what has previously been posted here:
- 75 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 23 White-crowned Sparrows, 160 Pine Siskins, etc, Wolfe's Neck Center, Freeport, 10/10 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 1 Northern Goshawk and 1 Great Egret, Durham, 10/12.
- 1 BOREAL CHICKADEE, Mt Cutler, Hiram, 10/14 (with Jeannette).  While hawkwatching just below summit (~1200 ft), this was my southeastern-most BOCH in Maine and completely unexpected in mixed woods with an oak and hemlock dominated summit. This species is also irrupting out of the boreal this year, so it's not entirely suprising.
- 6 Red Crossbills and a total off 44 migrant raptors led by 18 Sharp-shinned Hawks, Mt Cutler, Hiram, 10/14 (with Jeannette).
- 106 American Pipits, Mayall Road, Gray/New Gloucester, 10/14 (with Jeannette).
- 6 EVENING GROSBEAKS, Durham, 10/16.

Meanwhile, here's an annotated checklist from Monday's Boothbay Harbor Mini-Pelagic, including photographs:
