[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 6/9-15

Hi all,

Sightings of note from me in the past seven days included:
- 14 Black-bellied Plovers, Pine Point, Scarborough, 6/12(with Jeannette).
- 6-8 Fish Crows, Gorham Road, South Portland, 6/12 (with Jeannette).  I usually avoid the Maine Mall area like a plague, but occassional errands take me in that direction.  This day, we were excited to come across this flock in and around the parking lot of the McDonald's (of course; classic "habitat"). This was my first observation of a group in this area - although I am not exactly birding these parking lots on a regular basis.  Has anyone noticed these birds in and around this area before?  Do we have another new colony nearby?
- 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Old Town House Park, 6/13 (my second-ever here).
- 1 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH, 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher,1 Yellow-throated Vireo, and 1 pair Ring-necked Ducks, Morgan Meadow WMA, Raymond, 6/14.

Meanwhile, here are some Bicknell's Thrush photos from my annual "Bicknell's Thrush and the White Mountains" tour, which took place last weekend.  Definitely my best pics of a BITH to date!
