[Maine-birds] Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Town Hill (Mt Desert Is)

What a great day for yard-birds, especially the woodpeckers. Our yard (and our neighbor's) is full of mature Oaks, Birch, Pines, tons of Spruce, vernal pools, lots of standing dead trees...   Every year we have nesting Hairy and Downy woodpeckers, and Pileated farther back in the woods, but within hearing of their drumming and call.
Two days ago a Northern Yellow-shafted Flicker was in the yard (haven't seen him since) and this afternoon Wally and I were sitting on the deck when a Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker flew into the ornamental crab-apple under the big Oak. Now it is on the edge of the yard doing its odd arrhythmic drumming. It has been doing that for quite awhile now. I wonder if that means it will nest nearby.
