[Maine-birds] Highlights from Biddeford-Kennebunkport CBC section 8,and 1+2 West ( all west of Turnpike)

 

Some highlights from yesterdsdays travels. 31 species seen, ties high count. Had 7 high counts for 10  Red-tailed Hawks, 22 Bluebirds, 3 Mocking birds, 1212 Starlings, 35 Am. Tree Sparrow, 18 Snow Buntings, and 5 House Finch.

I wanted to beat my record of 238 Blue Jays, but fell short with only 91.

We where invited inside to study the flock of red polls at a feeder, I tried to make one into a Hoary but was talked out of it.

Over the years this area I have seen a total of 49 different species.

First time I  got my  car stuck, thanks to Turk and Don for pushing me out of the snow.
