[Maine-birds] Re: BREWER'S BLACKBIRD at Capisic Pond

Subject: BREWER'S BLACKBIRD at Capisic Pond

I just got back from a very birdy Capisic Pond in Portland and found a lone Brewer's Blackbird. I thought it was a Rusty until it began calling/singing with it's high squeaky voice. The bird was near the drain at the Machigonne St entrance to the park. It was also visiting the feeders behind the gray house adjacent to the park entrance. There was also a late Swamp Sparrow present in this same area. Very birdy there today, lots of Robins with some appearing to be Newfies. I will post photos later.
