Re: [Maine-birds] More Snowy Owls coming - 73 in a morning in Nfld

Yup. There are currently (at least) five snowy owls in and around Biddeford Pool. Insane. Bring a camera. Scan the chimneys and rooftops as you turn left after the bridge (there were two there on roofs,) check behind the restaurant across from the beach entrance (one on the rocks), and then two more were seen on the islands off the Audubon trail (along the golf course). And...for good measure, look for the northern shrike in treetops by the fire station, a probable sharp-shinned hawk (that I wanted/tried to make into a goshawk) on one of the houses on Bridge Road and a potential peregrine falcon (too far out /in bad light/blah blah) on one of the small islands south/east of the point.
Also - lots of peeps...but I was distracted.
