[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 1/25-31

 Hi all,

Just a few additional observations of note from me in the past seven days included:
- 21 Eastern Bluebirds (good local winter count), Harraseeket Yacht Club, South Freeport, 1/25 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk Group).
- 1 immature Northern Shrike, Desert Road, Freeport, 1/25-27.
- 2 NORTHERN SHOVELERS (one drake, one immature male) continue, Westbrook Riverwalk, 1/27 (photos).
- 1 GRAY CATBIRD, Harraseeket Yacht Club, 1/29 - shocking considering the severity of the winter.  Loosely associating with continued large flock of mixed frugivores (robins, Cedar Waxwings, bluebirds, and House Finches).
- 15+ Dunlin, Winslow Park, Freeport, 1/31.

- 4 drake Barrow's Goldeneyes continue in the Harraseeket River in South Freeport, usually seen between the Freeport Town Wharf and Winslow Park.
- The Merganser "Hat Trick" continues at Grist Mill Park in Yarmouth.

- 1 adult PROBABLE Iceland Gull is back at Riverbank Park in Westbrook, as previously reported by Noah Gibb.  I finally had a chance to photograph it on Monday, and I posted a blog about it's identification - or, really, my attempt to identify it over the past four years:
