I had to go down to Portsmouth this morning, so I went a little farther to look for the Spotted Towhee that was found over the weekend. The bird was still present in the small copse of trees and shrubs on the North side of the intersection of Ocean Ave and Central Rd in Rye, NH. Also somehow managed a six-woodpecker day today. Northern Flicker flyby while looking for the towhee, A Pileated Woodpecker along I-95, my continuing Yellow-bellied Sapsucker made another appearance (Park St. Kennebunk, ME), and was joined by RBWO, DOWO, and HAWO at the feeders. Made me want to go back up to Bath to get the RHWO again!
Cheers,
Shiloh
