The Great Black-Hawk put on a show for 40-50 people as it ate a squirrel quite close to Deering Ave and across from the north end of the King Middle School. Traffic, including fire trucks with sirens, didn't bother it in the least. After eating its fill, it flew back to the little copse of Norway Spruce closer to the pond and tucked in to roost as light failed.
