I was at the park when the hawk flew into the southwest corner of the park just before 3 pm. We walked over in that direction staying well back and not disturbing it. A red tailed hawk almost immediately, with in 2 minutes, flew over attacking the great black hawk causing it to fly off to the southwest.
I agree the hawk does need some space as clearly it is being pursued by photogaphers/birders and a red tailed hawk. Think about how you would feel if that was you!
