Not sure if anyone has checked the Forest City or Calvary Cemeteries in South Portland. They are sort of in line with the route it was last seen taking from Deering Oaks past MMC. Both are similar to Deering Oaks with an abundance of squirrels and likely pigeons and such. Also less foot traffic and noise. I am assuming they would look about as enticing as any frozen patch of ground might look to this visitor. I will not have time today but may be able to get out there tomorrow to check and will keep you posted.
Cheers and good birding,
Rob
Green line is last heading. Circles are possible sites. I know there are a lot of other sites it could be as well such as the Fore River Parkway or West Commercial Street edges, or the area around Long Creek/295, as well.
Just thinking of other corners to check…

We went looking at 12:30 and spent some time looking in other areas of Deering Oaks but to no avail.
Hopefully it just needs a break.
