[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 6/27-7/3.



Hi all,

My observations of note over the past seven days included the following:

- 1 Red Crossbill, Royal River Park, Yarmouth, 6/27 (with Birding Bucks Birdwalk group).

- 1 1st summer Black-bellied Plover and 1 drake White-winged Scoter, Popham Beach State Park, Phippsburgm 6/30.

- 7 Surf Scoters, Simpson's Point, Brunswick, 7/2.

- 1 Yellow-billed Cuckoo (FOY), 1 Wilson's Snipe, etc, Foothills Land Conservancy, Wilton, 7/3 (with Jeannette.)

- 1 American Bittern, 4+ Wilson's Snipe, etc, Gilman Pond Road, New Portland, 7/3 (with Jeannette).

- 10 Green-winged Teal, 8 Common Goldeneyes plus chicks, etc, Carabaasett Valley Snowfluent Ponde, 7/3 (with Jeannette).
