When I heard this call and looked outside, I saw 2 Eastern Gray Squirrels clinging motionless to the trunk of a tree near my feeders.  They appeared "frozen" the way birds appear when a hawk is present.  It didn't look like either of the squirrels were making the sound.
Any thoughts?
