Great morning of birding with my 8th grade birding buddy. We surprised a bittern, then saw a kingfisher, a great blue heron, 4 or 5 wood ducks, two Swainson's thrushes, a robin, some dark eyed juncos, a swamp sparrow, white throated sparrows, 5 yellow rumped warblers, chickadees, white breasted nuthatches (red breasted at his house nearby), and tufted titmice.
