Added Iceland Gull to my yard list Friday. Caught a few large shapes flying past a curtained window and when I went to investigate found 3 Herring Gulls and their pale companion circling over the neighbor's barn. Yard bird #136.
Or #138, since my wife has seen a kestrel and I haven't, and as she and daughter came home yesterday evening they found a Barred Owl sitting next to the driveway (headlight view at ten feet for several seconds!). I've been waiting for any owl in the yard for 14 years and still haven't got one. Hope this bird reappears soon.
