Sorry all, but I misidentified Thursday morning's bird when I called it a Glaucous Gull. I had a much better look at it today and also grabbed a few iPhone-scope photos. It's an Iceland. All-dark bill, rounded head, etc. Pretty cooperative and view-able from the Upper Town Dock off of Clark Point Rd.
Also in that neighborhood, 8 Cedar Waxwings (my first of winter somehow, and no BOWAs among them) and an overwintering Song Sparrow (in hedges along back edge of Upper Town Dock parking lot).Craig K
