[Maine-birds] if you go to the Bath Landfill

Lovely view of the golden eagles at the Bath Landfill  just at the crest of the fill from the entrance(2:30) and red tail at the "flame end" of the road.  BUT PLEASE NOTE:  you are asked to check in at the white trailer when you enter;  to park your car near that trailer, the blue out building or near but not blocking the dumpsters to the left. You are NOT to walk inside the fencing or up the landfill itself.  It is dangerous and is creating problems for the management with truckers when birders abandon cars in the middle of the lot or blocking the way of the dump trucks. You may drive the road along the perimeter or walk it (preferably). They are considering restricting access because so many birders are careless and do not follow signage directions.   Sorry to be the messenger but I was asked to let people know.   Calien
