[Maine-birds] Portland Snowy Owl released

Last Saturday, I transported the Snowy Owl rescued from an abandoned building in Portland to a release site near Rockland. The bird was cared for at Avian Haven and was strong. This immature female seemed glad to be back in open country, and I was pleased to see her free again. I recorded a short video of the release that you can watch here: http://vimeo.com/84524086

Avian Haven's website tells you more about their work, which is always in need of donations: http://www.avianhaven.org
