I stopped by Deering Oaks Park for a few moments at 12:20 pm today. The hawk was tucked in, visible, but not always well seen, in a Norway Spruce. There were about 6-8 birders and passers-by under umbrellas in the chilly drizzle.
A shout-out for Doug Hitchcox from Maine Audubon who is still quietly on the scene and, as always, helpful to everyone.
