I agree Stan. Kudos to Bill. I still have one of the "guillemot" window decals that used to come with the newsletter. I learned a lot from him.

Bill has compiled, written, edited this newsletter for many, very many, years and he is now hanging up his hat. In the days before the internet his newsletter was invaluable in learning what was being seen around the state. His Christmas Bird Count summaries showed all the counts in the state and were always most informative. I am sure Peter Vickery utilized these newsletters for all the pre-internet records and then some. I want to thank Bill for the wonderful service he provided the entire state birding community for many years. Bill, great job, thank you so much.
