Yes indeed they will eat ducks. In the image below, the snowy pluck the duck from the water and then took a couple of hours to eat it.

Hi Barbara, My husband and I once watched a Snowy catch and eat a (live) Mallard Duck. The snowy was sitting on a lump of ice on a mostly frozen bay (Sodus Bay, on Lake Ontario). The ducks were swimming in a group in some unfrozen water nearby. One duck climbed onto the ice and waddled near the motionless owl; when the Mallard got close enough, wham!
