I have posted a few photos of a Snowy with a Black Duck from Biddeford Pool on the Maine Birds flickr page.

--Hi Barbara, My husband and I once watched a Snowy catch and eat a (live) Mallard Duck. The snowy was sitting on a lump of ice on a mostly frozen bay (Sodus Bay, on Lake Ontario). The ducks were swimming in a group in some unfrozen water nearby. One duck climbed onto the ice and waddled near the motionless owl; when the Mallard got close enough, wham! The rest was rather painful to watch.Carol in Town Hill
