[Maine-birds] Reid State Park- 07/26- Baid's Sandpiper, Red Necked Loon, ect.

Hello All,
I did some birding while surfing with a friend today at Reid State Park.
It was overcast and mild, the tide was high and it was about 3:00 when we arrived.
On the first sandy beach (the one that does not lead to the river mouth) there was a small foraging group of shorebirds.
15 Sanderlings (some still showing decent amount of breeding plumage)
2 semipalmated Sandpipers
1 Ad. Baird's Sandpiper

After that we went to the river mouth.
Common terns were feeding and one least tern showed up.
A decent sized group of Semipalmated sandpipers and plovers took up the wrack line.
Plus 1 Red Throated Loon, seemed to be a freshly molted adult, but could have been a juv?

Mathias
