This afternoon in a long walk around the perimeter I saw a female EASTERN TOWHEE fly into a thicket along the shrub & tree-enclosed path (near the bench) that runs along the old fence border. Its red eye was very visible as it flicked around half-hidden under some bushes. Only the second Towhee I've seen in Bangor.
The Saxl Park fields were mowed this week, with no observed disruptions to the Bobolinks or Savannah Sparrows...just a few immature Savannahs who seemed irritated.
