[Maine-birds] Andro Co: Greater Scaup, Northern Shrike

Hello All,

Spent a morning in Androscoggin County birding.  No white-winged gulls in L/A but a Greater Scaup feeding at the outlet of a stream into the Androscoggin River on North River Road was very unexpected.  (Photographed)

A Northern Shrike was on Runaround Pond Road in Durham.

Common Goldeneye on the river in Auburn and in Downtown Sabattus along with Common Merganser, Mallards and a couple of Black x Mallard hybrids.

Hooded Merganser seen from King Road Bridge over Sabattus stream.

The pair of Bald Eagles have returned to a nest site in Auburn.

Robins abundant, one Cedar Waxwing in Minot.

Saw 32 Snow Buntings but no Snowy Owl on Pottle Hill Road.

Two Cooper's Hawks and four Red-tails along the way.
