Hi all,
Jeannette and I finally made the drive for the long-staying Northern Hawk Owl in Lincoln. Thanks to all of the helpful posts (esp. Carl), we easily found the bird at the intersection of Rte 2 and River Road, at the edge of the Larkin Enterprises property at 12:40pm.
Unfortunately, before we turned into the parking lot, it flew to the west. However, we soon relocated it at the Lincoln Regional Airport (at the end of Airport Rd, about 1/4-1/2 mile west on River Road from the aforementioned intersection) where we enjoyed it for over an hour.
Six Snow Buntings were looking for a place to land, before they noticed the hawk owl.
