[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, Shorebird High Counts, and Upcoming Trip, 7/21-27

Hi all,
Just a few non-shorebirds sightings of note from the past seven days:
- 1 continuing TRICOLORED HERON and 1 Merlin, Eastern Road Trail, Scarborough Marsh, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, Jonathan Stein, John Butler, Annie Meyer, and Andre Montcreiff). 
- 5 continuing Black Scoters and 3 continuing Long-tailed Ducks, Simpson's Point, Brunswick, 7/24 (with Steve Kolbe, et al).
- 1 drake White-winged Scoter, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, and 1 Carolina Wren, Dyer Point, Cape Elizabeth, 7/26.
 
And my shorebird high counts this week were as follows (all adult birds except Willets and where otherswide noted):
Black-bellied Plover: 4, Pine Point, Scarborough, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
Semipalmated Plover: 54, Crescent Beach State Park, Cape Elizabeth, 7/26.
Piping Plover: Pairs with chicks at multiple locaitons.
Killdeer: 4, Eastern Road Trail, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER: 4 including juvenile, Pine Point, Scarborough, 7/22 (with Phil McCormack). 1 adult on 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
Greater Yellowlegs: 6, Back Cove, Portland, 7/23.
Lesser Yellowlegs: 93, Eastern Road Trail, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
Solitary Sandpiper: 1, Eastern Road Trail, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
"Eastern" Willet: 35, Pine Point, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
Spotted Sandpiper: 1, multiple locations.
Whimbrel: 4, Pine Point, 7/22 (with Phil McCormack).
Ruddy Turnstone: 2, Pine Point, 7/22 (with Phil McCormack).
Sanderling: 6, Crescent Beach State Park, 7/26.
Semipalmated Sandpiper: 400+, Eastern Road Trail, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
Least Sandpiper: 100+, Eastern Road Trail, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
Pectoral Sandpiper (first of fall): 4, Eastern Road Trail, 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
STILT SANDPIPER: SIX adults, Eastern Road Trail, 7/22 (with Phil McCormack). 5 present on 7/24 (with Jeannette, Steve Kolbe, et al).
Short-billed Dowitcher: 366, Eastern Road Trail, 7/22 (with Phil McCormack).
