Yesterday (Thursday) on the 10;30AM ferry to Vinalhaven I spotted three Wilson’s Storm Petrels. That was a first for me on the ferry. They showed up on that open stretch just before the boat comes to the Fox Island thoroughfare. Additionally, there were many dozens of Common Terns, often feeding in large groups (i.e. two dozen at a time). A harbor porpoise showed up in the harbor at the island on the return trip at 2:45.
