Just a few additional observations of note from me in the past seven days included (not much to report while x-country skiing and snowshoeing around still-quiet woods and fields!):
- 1 SWAMP SPARROW, Cape Elizabeth Greenbelt Trail/Village Crossings, Cape Elizabeth, 2/9. Present since early December. With Doug Hitchcox and Kristen Lindquist.
- 3 SNOWY OWLS, Biddeford Pool, 2/10 (with clients).
- 6 Ruddy Turnstones, Ocean Avenue, Biddeford Pool, 2/10 (with clients).
- 1 first-winter Glaucous Gull, 10 Razorbills, etc., East Point, Biddeford Pool, 2/10 (with clients).
- 5 Brant, 2 Razorbills, 17 Harlequin Ducks, etc., Dyer Point, Cape Elizabeth, 2/10 (with clients).
- 3 drake Barrow's Goldeneye continue in the Lower Harraseeket here in South Freeport.
- 10 Common Mergansers continue at Grist Mill Park in Yarmouth, while Hooded Mergansers continue in the Cousin's River at the Muddy Rudder.
- another noticeable influx of American Robins with small numbers of Cedar Waxwings occurred throughout the area this week.
