[Maine-birds] Cedar Waxwings in Winterport

Some interesting sightings during the snow today in Winterport.  500+ Cedar Waxwings were at the end of Kaler Street and that is probably the highest number of strictly CEDWs that I’ve ever had.  In past winters, I’ve seen larger flocks of Bohemian Waxwings and larger flocks with mixed BOWAs and CEDWs but I could not pick a single Bohemian out of todays birds.  12 American Robins were here as well, a couple with very dark heads, and one with a slightly deformed beak, and a quick flyby of a female Northern Harrier was a FOY bird for me.

Good Birding,
John
