The Unity Rusty Blackbirds reappeared yesterday on Quaker Hill Rd alongside the standing corn field. There were eleven yesterday. I had not seen them since January 8, so wondered if they finally decided to move south. Down the hill at Unity College the robin flock has grown to 175. They continue to feast primarily on multiflora rose and have been joined on and off by both waxwing species. They are particularly active in the area just before sunset.
Good birding,
tom
