[Maine-birds] Directions to the Crow Roost as of February 6, 2019

THE CROWS ARE NOW STAGING AND ROOSTING TO THE WEST OF THEIR EARLIER SIGHTS.

  1. Arrive an hour before sunset
  2. Dress warmly with waterproof footwear that may get muddy
  3. Bring your bincos and also a camera if you choose
  4. Go to 1 Eaton St. to the Bashara Boathouse in Lawrence
  5. Park along the river and watch where the crows are flying (some as of 2/5/19) may be on the ice
  6. We now have permission to go behind the boathouse and up on the far (western) side of the boathouse and up onto the deck
  7. The crows will probably be staging either on the ice within view or in the Industrial Parks to your left (west) on either the north or south side of Andover St.
  8. Some from the west may be staging further west off of what becomes River St. in Andover
  9. Where they roost (a half hour after sunset), only they know or more appropriately one or some of them will determine that night.  It is getting darker now so you must just keep careful watch of them and follow them when they move

WE WILL BE OUT THIS AFTERNOON  FEBRUARY 6TH, TOMORROW (THURSDAY) AFTERNOON FEBRUARY 7, AND FRIDAY FEBRUARY 8TH
