Unity College's birding club took a trip to Vinalhaven today on the ferry, focused on finding alcids and sea ducks. Large numbers of Common eiders and Long-tailed ducks. Highlights of the day include many Black Guillemots, a few Razorbills, 1 Murre, 1 Red-throated Loon, 3 Great Cormorants around Vinalhaven, and also a Glaucous Gull at Vinalhaven near the ferry point.
